Noord-Beveland Bug Racing

Fancy a tour that’s a bit different? Hop into a beach buggy and discover the unknown hinterlands of the province of Zeeland: Noord-Beveland. Via bumpy and rocky paths, dykes and sand roads, you’ll make your way past several of this province’s picturesque villages surrounded by the North Sea, the Oosterschelde river and the Veerse Meer.

“Explore the landscape and picturesque villages of Noord-Beveland in Zeeland with a buggy, touring the bumpy and rocky paths, dykes and sand roads.”

When people think of Zeeland, they often think of sea and sand, but you should also visit the other Zeeland, like the villages and dykes of Noord-Beveland. This former island is ideal for discovering with a buggy you can rent at Kortgene. There are various routes on roads and dykes full of character and these will guide you past lovely villages, such as Geersdijk with its old agricultural port as main attraction. The route past Kamperland, the water sports village situated nearby the world-famous Oosterschelde river, is also beautiful.

Hey, did you know?

Noord-Beveland lies by lake Veerse Meer that was connected to the North Sea until the North Sea Flood of 1953. The building of the Zandkreekdam and the Veerse Dam have now closed off the lake. You can discover the area with the route Veerse Meer Tour (90 km).
