Stayokay Utrecht Centre is a perfect location for a city trip, a few days away with the family or a group trip. Due to its central location, the entire centre is easily accessible on foot. But don't forget to rent a bike at the reception and discover what else Utrecht has to offer. We will gladly help you on your way! 

The hostel is located at the Neude, the liveliest and most famous square in Utrecht. In addition to all the outdoor cafes, the Dom, the Oude Gracht and the shopping streets are just around the corner. You could not wish for a better location!

THE 5TH

The 5th is the brand new restaurant of Stayokay Utrecht Centrum. This is where locals and travelers meet.

You can enjoy many local beers and lots of vega(n) dishes. You can also flexwork here and various activities are organized. You will find The 5th in the heart of Utrecht, on the Neude. Can't be more central!

Something to do for everyone

Travelling to Utrecht Centre with your group? Great fun of course! But where do you start organising your trip? We are happy to share our favourite tips with you to have an unforgettable time!  Our hostel staff can also inform you of the best activities during your stay!

A SELECTION OF FREE ACTIVITIES

  • Download a city walk and discover Utrecht on foot. Walk along the beautiful canals, across the Domplein, spot the Janskerk, Drakenbosch house and much more.  
  • A visit to Griftsteede is guaranteed fun! Visit the petting zoo: meet the curious goats and see the apiary, among other things. Climb the fort in the playground and dip your feet in the paddling pool in sunny weather.  
  • The Máxima park is definitely worth a visit! This park consists of several parts, including a nature park where you can see a grazing flock of sheep in the summer and autumn. Here you'll also find a butterfly garden, water taps, a ferry, a Roman tower and much more. Bring a packed lunch and enjoy a picnic in the park.  
  • A great evening activity is Trajectum Lumen. A voyage of discovery in the dark along artistically lit locations in Utrecht's extraordinary city centre. Since its launch in 2010, new works of light art continue to appear along the route.  
  • The Utrechty City Archive. With tens of kilometres of archives, half a million photos, films, drawings, prints and an extensive library, the Utrecht Archives are the memory of the city and province.

 

A SELECTION OF PAID ACTIVITIES

  • Climb the Dom tower. The symbol of the city of Utrecht. 465 steps and over 112 metres high. It's the highest church tower in the Netherlands and offers a breathtaking view of the entire city and region. 
  • The Railway Museum Utrecht. Descend into the English coal mine and get to know the Arend, the first train of the Netherlands. Take a thrilling ride along, on and over trains in Steel Monsters and experience what it felt like to be one of the first train drivers to drive a locomotive in The Trial by Fire. 
  • At KidZcity, you can find the most exciting, original and fun attractions imaginable. Climbing, sliding, driving, colliding, playing, shooting and crawling. At KidZcity, it's all possible!   
  • Rent a canoe. Step directly into the city centre and explore lively Utrecht with its beautiful canals and cosy terraces. Or follow the Minstroom or Amelisweerd route to experience the silence and beautiful nature of Utrecht. This can even be done at night!

Other great activities include a visit to the Rietveld-Schröder house or the miffy museum!
